I got mines and I have to say wow I am soooo impressed its more than I imagined
The Blinkfeed is awesome and the Zoe is very impressive .
Vodacom is the way guys waiting for MTN i switched and with in the week I got mine .

Side note have you guys started getting the WOW thats a sexy phone comments from the Ladies :grin: I have

Haha, it's certainly a babe magnet! Can't be in a social environment without people clamouring to see and play with the phone.

This looks a bit bulky though.

I'd love a professional looking case like the Double Dip Flip but that's had such bad reviews I won't get it. I don't want to take anything away from this amazing phone.
 
It does look a bit bulky, i agree.

I just want something that looks like its going to protect the phone against falls.

Damn im under presure :D It loked decent from the reviews.

Just picked up my One this evening from vodaworld. OMG it was worth the wait. Compared it to my wifes S3 and its miles ahead. Build quality is great. Those of you considering getting the S4, don't. U will be disappointed. I have not seen a more beautiful phone before. HTC really did create acwork of art.

As much as my heart wants to agree with you, my head simply says that Samsung accidental damage warranty is a total deal-clincher!

i have the double dip flip with zero issues ... the problem one is the double dip case
 
I would really like the dual SIM one but I see importitall have it at the princely sum of R16K. Guess I must check ebay for better pricing.

ROFLOL R16K .... I still have not met or know of anyone who have ever used those idiots to buy anything,
their prices are always out of this world!
 
I'll be moving over to Vodacom if the "One's" price hopefully decreases next week*
Heard by 2 Vodacom sales peeps that it's likely to see a price drop on this device and the S4 soon,though soon could mean next 2 months ..

i'm not asking much,just R200 less per months .. :p

Fair enough. I'm just basing it on HTC's actual website reviews on the case, with a 29% recommendation for it.

Reviews such as:

Fittings are not adjusted, phone not firmly fixed, microphone is not adjusted as well. As a result poor protection and bad sound quality. HTC One is great product itself.

Bought this case with my HTC one, absolutely love the phone but I've had issue with the case. It looks great and works great as a stand but I've had the problem where if I receive a call I cannot be heard as the case blocks the Microphone. I have to take the phone out of the case in order to answer calls otherwise I end up shouting trying to be heard. This is a major issue. Also I've noticed that the inside of the case picks up dust and the like very easily. Not a massive issue as it wipes off fine, but the microphone issue is a deal-breaker. Finally the fit of the case is not great, the phone does not feel very secure in it, it sits in place without much to hold it there. I will have to find another case.

I loved the looks of this case when purchased with my phone but less than 2 months later the coating on the plastic is peeling off to reveal the glossy plastic below. I have also had issues with the microphone being covered by the case so I have to shout to be heard on calls. But the worst thing of all is that the phone is not held securly in the case and particles have got under the plastic on the flip side of the case leaving my phone with a pitting of the aluminum on the back of my phone.

There are some good reviews of if but it's a general thumbs down for the flip case. Glad you haven't had issues with it yet.

It was also one of my deciding factors when chosing between S4 and One.
I find the One tremendously sexy because of its design and build quality but there is no denying the many plusses of the S4.
Its like chosing between a reliable Toyota Corolla and the sexier Renault Meganne. You just know that the Toyota (Samsung) support and parts/accesory availability will be brilliant in SA while the same for Renault (HTC) in SA will be non existent.

When it comes to support and accessories, Samsung in SA demolishes HTC. The AlwaysOn 1GB free wifi per month and Samsung accidental warranty just helps the S4's case.
But boy, I will always be looking at the HTÇ One's with envy. :)

Does this case have sufficient protection? Does it absorb the shock when/if the phone gets dropped?

Go away samsung boy. Stop trying to make yourself feel better about your crappy phone by putting down the current king of smartphones :D. It hurts doesn't it? Playing with the One, then playing with the s4?

Edit: And honestly. I've gone through the s4 thread and it doesn't seem reliable at all. OTB failures, camera failures, battery failures. Waiting for new software to hopefully fix other failures. Guys flashing their phones to get rid of failures. It's good you have that support from Samsung. You truly would be f$cked without it.
