You could use wifi :)
 
Just took this pic at the pub with The One

It's on normal settings without hdr and flash. And I've had a few beers. It's pretty dark too. The night time exposure is amazing with this thing.

I'm on wifi for most of the day and night, and with moderate usage over the last week im on 450 mb so far. I have a 200mb bundle with the fone and have used 15mb so far, so it helps if u have wifi. if i didn't have wifi, data usage would kill me.

Great Quality ! stunning..Haha but i would never take that beauty out in a bar to get stolen or smashed by some drunk guy :p

Yip,Porting to voda in the next to weeeks,Lady at our Vodacom said they don't have it in store but can order it and ill be waiting around 10 working days to receive it..MTN keep giving me excuses after excuses

LOL luckily it's a quiet bar where people hardly get "drunk"!

Looking for a Zagg invisible shield (or equivalent) to protect the back of my One so I can go 'caseless', anyone know where I could source one locally or a reliable vendor who will ship locally?
 
Tried and nothing, sourced my current case from them and they were really good.

Even checked with ShopandShip who do most of the shields and nothing for HTC

It is like having a leper device, try every Voda / MTN shop for accessories and just get a blank look

Old SA,HTC is dead in their eyes..
 
Do you guys think having my phone plugged into the computer throughout the day will affect the battery performance?

If the battery is almost dead in the morning it usually takes about 5 hrs to fully charge the phone so it's a slow charge via usb. If the battery is full or almost full I tend to just plug the phone in anyways throughout the day (playing music or radio simultaneously)

wont have much effect on the battery only that it takes longer to fully charge via USB without its normal power adapter and 220v ..
