Official HTC One thread

Sad :( ,asked MTN about the noise around the camera area when i tap there(though no noise at the bottom..They told me to rather send it in now wait a week and receive a new device..oky maybe not sad :p but waiting for at least 2 weeks is going to be terrible ..
 
So MTN still cannot find stock of The One for me. Very frustrated now.
Anyone have info on where I can buy a MTN sim friendly version of the phone?

I think maybe thats the same reason i have been waiting so long for my phone.
Maybe they are out of stock.
I have been waiting for flippin 3 weeks
 
I was told by Jarrod at MTN Direct, that they were told that Direct will not sell the One. It will only be available through the MTN Stores. But none of the stores can seem to get it. Mine's been on order for 2 weeks and still nothing.

I still got 4 months of my contract left - don't now how much it will cost me to cancel it and go through the hassle of signing up with V or C :cry:

Looking at the leaked HTC Sense Android 4.3 rom, there's no new look and feel :confused: but yeah 4.3 would be nice , hoping Vodacom don't waste time on approval like they did for 4.2.2
 
I hope my phone comes 2mrow.
Damn im so tired of all the sh*t that these MTN guys are up to
 
Just received my One ordered online thru voda last week Wednesday, pure class is all I can say, few scratches though.
 
A little more info on the MTN saga.

A quick look on HelloPeter showed an 'official' response from Farhaana at MTN saying that there is a delay in stock and they're waiting word on delivery/stock 5-6 weeks from the end of July. So basically by the middle of this month MTN can give a proper response about the One.

Oky but why did i just phone,signed one paper..And 2 days after she phoned me telling me my device has arrived?sent from CPT .. :) just saying..

I think it depends how well the MTN staff is trained..and might i say educated :p

i kind of agree with that ... same thing here went in signed the paper and few days later i had phone
and that evening i was making calls and doing updates!

I took the copy of the paper you signed (that you posted here) into the stores in the Vaal. The ladies said that they've never seen a paper like that before and they normally just order the phone for the client. They couldn't explain how you guys in Cape Town managed to get it as MTN is "out of stock". I've got 2 stores trying to order the phone for me now.

Maybe I should arrange a trip to Cape Town and get my phone there :whistle:

Funny thing is i'm not even in CPT :p ,400km away and i managed to get it in 2 days ..

Like i said i think it's all about how up to date the staff are,and if they actually do want to help you..But i hope they can assist you quickly ,can imagine the frustration your going through
