Been running 4.3 with sense 5.5 for about a week now and I can say I love it. Feels smoother than previous, the music player has been significantly improved, the gallery aswel. You can now swipe to your different menus/settings instead of clicking on a drop down menu.

Blinkfeed is now optional and can be enabled and disabled as you please and you can add your own feeds now. Im one of those that actually use and like blinkfeed so its a nice addition to add my custom feeds.

Quick settings are now customizable and u can add and remove settings as u please, though you are limited to 12 settings if im not mistaken. recent apps has been tweaked a bit.

the camera now has the photosphere feature which is super cool. For those who dont know what that is... its a 360deg photograph.

So mostly its just UI tweaks with a few additions here and there. Overall the biggest features 4.3 has over 4.2 would be the camera and blinkfeed changes.
 
For some reason my calender isn't showing any of my meetings or items etc, it's just blank even though it's set to sync with 4 calenders of mine (Google, Facebook, work etc). It seems to be syncing correctly except the calender just remains blank and has no items in it. Any ideas?

Where did you get 4.3?
 
Running Ordroid 21.0.1 custom ROM on my One, based on JB 4.3 and sense 5.5 and it's just superb, getting 40 odd hrs unplugged time which is great.
 
4.4 kit Kat ROMs will be available already this week for the One, can't wait
 
Getting the HTC One

Hi Guys,

I have been reading these and other forums extensively and read every review I could find and I must admit I am not much closer to an answer. I am an Old Iphone user, but recently decided its time to take the Android jump. However, What phone to get is proving more difficult than what i thought.

I love the look and feel of the HTC One above that of the S4 but i am worried about HTC's ability to support... Not only in the hardware, but also the Updates....

Any suggestions? Is this a valid fear?

It certainly is a valid concern, especially measured against your Apple history and how that will shape your expectations. Add to that the fact that HTC's local presence hasn't ever been stellar, what with it flopping between directly overseeing local operations and flopping from one distribution partner to the next, and the prospect starts to look even less inviting.

That said, I wouldn't swap my One for anything currently on the market. Fractions of a second in benchmarks don't impress me, but tactile feel and build quality does, and by that measure the One is arguably the best phone the world has yet seen. I am also on my 4th straight HTC, stretching back to Windows Mobile days, and I've not had a day's hassle with any of them even after having each one run custom software by the end of my first day with it.

Diff'rent strokes and all...
