Official HTC One thread

So my HTC One dual SIM has just landed on my desk

Where did you guys get your cases and screen protectors? Do I have to go to Orange or is there a walk in place I can buy one at a local store. Not even takealot appear to have anything.

Ugh, cover the most beautiful phone in the world with a case? And the 1080, gorilla glass covered screen with a plastic protector? Just buy an S5 instead!
Just kidding :P Although mine has been uncased and unprotected since I got it, no scratched or dents so far! In terms of finding a case, most places don't even stock the phone, never mind the accessories I'm afraid. Orange is probably your best bet.

It's here! So excited! Downloading now

I'm on Vodacom...

Got both updates on Friday, one is A Kitkat, other is a fresh new system overhual ,looks nice..
Things i noticed with updates
1,battery last longer than before, better on stand by as well(extreme power saver was added to)
The phone feels so smooth now, browsing, reading text, screen is much more responsive !
Games seem to work smoother as well..
camera app has changed
What are your experience with the updates?

I'm enjoying the faster response times and the cleaner look of the new Sense. I'll put the battery life through its paces at work tomorrow between bluetooth audio and trying to maintain a crappy Edge signal!

So far so good. Liking the look and feel of it. Feels smoother to me. But is wasn't exactly sluggish to start with.

My battery seems to have taken a hit, but that could be because I've been on it a lot last couple days :D

I guess we will see in coming weeks.

Downloaded both updates. The new Sense interface looks much slicker.

Soooo happy that we've all got 4.4.2 now for this kick-ass phone.

Battery life is not bad, but most of the hit can be traced to the problems I seem to be having with Sync.

a) Even when Auto Sync is turned off, the phone will still try and periodically sync. This is causing havoc on my battery as I'm in a bad signal area and it keeps trying to find and hold a signal.
b) my Gmail is not syncing and pushing notifications even when I'm on wifi. I see it's a known issue on the xda forums but no solution yet. the workarounds provided only work for a short while before the problems come back.

So I'm kinda in two minds about the new updates so far.

Okay, I've got 4.4.2 for my HTC One M7. Now what? What apps take specific advantage of 4.4.2? Conversely, is there anything interesting that I can do with my HTC M7 now, instead of downloading any specific apps?

Ta.
