Official Indy500 thread

Right, so with Fernando out, that'll be Helio for his fourth win for me then. Come on Helio!

It was like watching gridiron.

Lol dude, that's so true. When I lived in the States, they couldn't understand my frustration when watching gridiron, but then I had them watch some rugby and then they got me.

Here we go again....
it's a bit of a joke lol
Here you have this race... with no change in racing direction, no need for the brake pedal, a track wide enough for 5 to run abreast... and nobody can keep their car on the road :D
Seems this race rewards patience more than pure racing skill.

Sato or Chilton FTW!

Urgh... just realised Alonso could have made up some serious places there.

I'm not a huge fan of turning left for 3 hours, but I think you're being a bit disingenuous. I've been sitting here thinking how hugely draining this race must be on the drivers, on a knife's edge at three hundred and plenty kilometres an hour all the time, apart from under caution. The accidents that have happened show just how near the ragged edge the cars are, and the track being that wide says nothing of how much of it is actually usable at full tilt. It's a LOT more nuanced than it looks.

I'm sure you're not being 100% serious, of course, but I've developed a lot more regard for these guys today than I had before. :)

I was cheering for Max and Sato, maybe we will still have an F1 driver up there.

Nice, well worth watching, pity about Alonso but Honda have done their reputation no good at all now.
