Finally! The 1st official OS6 for the bold 9700 has been released.

Seems a bit strange that Vodafone release the .380 version of OS6 as an "official" release.

I'm already running .424

I see people are complaining in much the same was as when .380 was leaked (as if the bugs would disappear from the same build?). Nevertheless, I upped one of our 9700's to the official from an older release of 5.0, this morning. So far very smooth and seem to be lucky enough not to have the sms cursor issue. Not sure if it's in BBM but this user doesnt use BBM much, so its a non-issue in this scenario.

Nice that it ran the Enterprise Activation automatically after the upgrade, saved me a little bit of time in prepping for a manual EA, as in OS5.

Aside from the aesthetics and little niceties, it feels solid - Rather pleased, bearing in mind that it is the first public release for the 9700. Again, after seeing the complaints and comparing to my seemingly lucky situation - It really seems a hit and miss with .380.

I just put .424 on my curve and the 1 and only bug i found in .380 was fixed, seems a little bit faster although hard to tell really, but so far so good.

OS6 is tops, especially the browsing experience.

OS6 is the shiz niz!! (Bold 9700 414/424 Hybrid) Rather go the Leaked 424 route instead of the official .380 released by Vodaphone.

(recommendation for Gmail account) Delete your email accounts if your can, and add them back after the OS upgrade. Seems to help reinitialize the BIS calander and contacts sync

(recommendation for Facebook app) Do not install during upgrade. Re download a fresh install from app world. Seems to help reinitialize the contacts sync for pics etc.

I had neither of those problesm with facebook or gmail and I've done a device switch from a storm to curve on os5 then 2 os6 upgrades, first to official.380, then to the .414 leak which fixed the 1 bug I found in the official.

Yeah its random. I flashed my phone a couple times over the last few nights to try different hybrid versions etc. Sometmes I had to do the above and other times it just worked from the get go. Thats why is a 'recommendation' ;) Anyways found my perfect setup and everthing is working now. If i have to look at another Boot up screen again im gonna puke lol

im on this one at the moment
