Does anybody know who the official razer (gaming mouse etc) supplier is in SA? I want to get my favourite local shop to order me a death adder :)

  • Straighter than the G5, almost as if they made it ambidextrous. Narrower than the G5.
  • Index and middle finger mouse buttons are concave, so they dip slightly, feels uncomfortable
  • Thumb buttoms are way too close to where the thumb usually sits and far too easy to press randomly. G5's thumb buttons are far better placed.

I just couldn't grip the Death Adder nicely. I can really grip the G5. Everyone who's ever held my G5 says it's the best they've held. Btw, the Logitech MX518 is based on the same design as the G5 and is quite a bit cheaper. Main differences are that the G5 is laser and the MX518 is optical, oh and the G5 has a weight cartridge that is adjustable.

Both mouses/mice are for larger hands. I wouldn't say mine are too enormous.

What do reviews say? The G5 is the most popular mouse on MyBb by a long way.

I have small girly hands :o Reviewers like both the death adder and the G5 although the razer has a better laser methinks.

Maybe we can get some sort of a poll. Perhaps you should be looking for a different mouse altogether.

G5 is shorter and wider, DA is longer and narrower.

Not sure, antowan perhaps?

I usually just use RPB to get their attention. :D

Poll options?

I have larger hands and use the G5
'' '' '' '' '' '' '' DA
I have smaller hands and i use the G5
'' '' '' '' '' '' '' '' DA

MX518 has been around a whole lot longer than a G5. There have even been MX518 Special Editions etc...

The G5 shape came directly from the MX518.

Ok. I wasn't alluding as to when they were made, rather they use similar designs. They share designs. ;)

I agree on the uncomfortableness of the Razer mouse. I used it for maybe an hour though before handing it over to its new owner, but I never got the hang of it. Then again, I haven't found a mouse yet that fits my paw well.

Tried a G5? :D
