I’m only playing to wear the yellow cap.

I am sure I will take the cap, should the Sharks win the Stormers, but I have worries that the Blues upped their game and might be able to take the Crusaders.

- Blues vs Crusaders
- Sharks vs Stormers

Did you watch the Blues game last week? That may be clouding your judgement... My feeling is, we haven't seen the Crusaders in action yet but we have no reason to doubt their mettle, even if it is away against the Blues, who last year were the worst performing NZ side IIRC.

AS for Sharks, Stormers....
When I hit conundrums like this, a coin flip in my mind, I give it to the home side.

That said, I think the last time I played I finished near the bottom. This year seems better so far.

Some dangerous movements here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2012–13_Super_Rugby_transfers#Blues

I wonder how the Crusaders' are going to fare this year? They're without McCaw for 6 months, and they only have one wing (Johnny McNicholl) in the squad.

The mass of experience they bring to the party and the fact that they still have enough fire power in: Fruean, Dagg, Carter, Ellis, Read, Franks and Crockett, makes me think they will have a good enough year to make the top 6 teams cut with some room to spare.

The Crusaders are always slow to start and always mess up my points. They only won one of their first 3 games last year.
Lost to Highlanders & Chiefs, and only won the Blues by 1 point.

I just know if I go against them they will win

Please do

The NZ team with the best kicker wins.
They don't have many good ones.

They have plenty of good ones besides Carter. Anscombe, Barrett, Sopoaga and Weepu kicked well this past weekend. Cruden didn't kick, but we all know he can.

Unfortunately we are not lucky enough to see enough of him.

Yeah, sucks that he's not doing Super Rugby. Always worth listening to.

The winner of the Reds v Hurricanes match will determine who moves up the Superbru rankings and who doesn't I think.

Very close match!

Very tough call. I called Blues last year and they lost by one or two points :(

I rate mallet but he burned down bridges with SARU that will take some fixing.

Stormers vs Sharks and Crusaders vs Blues as well....

Stormers v Sharks will be tight but 95% confident that Sharks will win it. Just from our one match, I think we are weaker this year than last year. And last year, we didn't beat the Sharks away. They might be our "bogey" team.

Yeah the result was close year between Crusaders and Blues but Blues are too erratic to win against the formidable Crusaders.

My picks are in. Not sure what Alf went with.

But just pick the opposite of mine and you'll be looking real good for the yellow cap
