Sometimes I wonder how these dumbasses don't forget to breathe. That is almost a textbook definition of offside, and yet he does it right in front of the ref, and right in front of the posts.
 
I ****ing hate the blues. Cost me points the whole of last season...and again this season. Big ****ing thank you for costing me a GSP. :(
 
Read out for four weeks

Canterbury - All Blacks No 8 Kieran Read has been ruled out of Super Rugby for a minimum of four weeks after partially tearing ligaments in his big toe, his Crusaders team said on Monday.

Read suffered the injury in the Crusaders' 55-20 victory over South Africa's Southern Kings in Christchurch on Saturday.

"It is hugely disappointing that Kieran cannot join the team to South Africa," Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said in a statement.

"He has been playing some brilliant rugby this season and it is unfortunate that this injury will keep him out of the game."

Read had not travelled with the Crusaders to South Africa, where they face the Stormers on Saturday and the Sharks on April 5 before playing the Western Force in Perth on April 13 on their way back to New Zealand.

Jordan Taufua was named to replace Read in the Crusaders' 26-man touring squad and fellow loose forward George Whitelock will assume the captaincy in his absence, the team added.

All Blacks flyhalf Daniel Carter has also not travelled with the team as his wife is due to give birth to their first child.

So they don't have Carter or Read for their SA tour. Surely the Stormers are favourites, especially since their strong showings against the Chiefs and Brumbies?
 
Cheetahs might just make it 4 in a row this weekend. Especially with the drama surrounding the Rebels at the moment.

Cooper Vuna and Kurtley Beale have been suspended and sent home after Beale allegedly punched Vuna in the face

As far as I understand they went for a party after the game (fck knows why?) and on the way back via bus, Beale was told by team captain Gareth Delve to put his shirt back on before they reach the hotel. Beale then hurled insults at Delve and Vuna tried to establish peace. Beale then punched him in the face.

Classic. But why was Vuna sent home if he was trying to make the peace? Cheetahs could have best season yet.

Guess both guys are denying responsibility. So they sent both packing and will decide further action after disciplinary hearings.

If the Cheetahs can stay focused and keep up their defensive efforts, I reckon they could end 3rd in the SA Conference. Who knows maybe even 2nd if some of the other teams fall apart later in the tournament.
 
Absolute pleasure seeing the Cheetahs playing nicely and winning overseas. I sincerely hope they stick to their guns though and don't fade like they are known to.
 
Well after the thumping yout got, that's one way to get out of your Rebels contract, Kurtley Beale...:D
 
Since I made all make picks through the entire season, I am likely to make a balls up later on during the second part… Hope that I can pull through again this year…

The Cheetahs will take the Rebels, with no problems, but it should be a game where the Cheetahs can work on their general gameplay and mistakes. The Rebels is nearly game over now, but they may still manage to pull through. I want to see Blues versus Chiefs and I can already see a huge game which can also result in some injuries on both sides…
 
A SANZAR Judicial Hearing has found Steven Kitshoff of the Stormers guilty of contravening Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling after he was cited during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Kitshoff has been suspended for one week up to and including 31 March 2013.

Although I agree that the tackle was dangerous and as Toomua could have been seriously injured.... I do find it ironic that an incident that did not even warrant a yellow card on the day is the one incident that gets pointed out by a citing commissioner and results in a suspension. While two tackles [sarcasmfont]"so dangerous"[/sarcasmfont] in the Sharks match warranted yellow cards but no suspension.

Lourens van der Merwe should stick to Grey College games.
 
We should start a new drinking game. Every time Lourens van der Merwe asks "Shaun, can you tell me..." you shout out loud "Shaun, can you tell me how many drinks I've had?" And down your drink. When he says "don't worry I saw it on the big screen" you have a sip of your drink in respect to the end of Shaun Veldsman's professional tv-reffing career...

Sharks CEO, Brian van Zyl says, “The Sharks are sad to advise that following The Sharks vs Rebels match, a fight occurred on the outerfields at approximately 22h00, which resulted in the death of one of our spectators. We have conducted our own internal investigation and are satisfied that our contracted service providers, Fidelity Security and ER24, had done everything possible to assist in stopping the fight on the night.

“We pride ourselves on providing a world-class display in a safe and secure environment. The safety of our patrons is of paramount importance. This is a senseless isolated incident and the stadium will ensure that we do everything possible to avoid incidents like this occurring in the future”.

This matter is currently being investigated by the South African Police Services (SAPS). The Sharks will assist SAPS wherever possible in carrying out their investigation. The SAPS are also receiving assistance from both our service providers, who were on the scene and assisted in stopping the fight, prior to the arrival of the SAPS.
