hey guys

im looking for a Offsite backup solution for a small business around 40 people 3 servers

What would you recommend ? but i will need some type of encryption as the documents etc sent over the link are highly confidential

Let me know your thoughts

would it make a difference what country im backing up too ?
i would prefer SA and something really secure

I would recommend CrashPlan. It has unlimited storage for backups, encrypts (you have an option to secure the encryption even further with a password) and obfuscates files so nothing more than what is actually required gets sent over.

The best feature of this is that you can have unlimited versions of a certain file AND keep deleted files to be able to restore later.

They do charge $10 per month per computer for the "business" plan, and $5.99 per month for the personal one. The business one can quickly add up. 40 computers would be $400 which is just insane.

You should be able to get away with it if you install the software on the server and have people backup to the NAS, from where they can work as well, then when you need to restore/pay the bill, it's for 1 machine.

BTW, I won't label your business as small if you have 40 users and 3 servers. That's a decent size to be considering proper backup solutions. Hope you find one that fits your budget.
