I use a bucket (with a plastic bag in it so the bucket doesn't get stained). Works pretty well.

That how I replace the oil filter, it drops in the bag.

Probably that most oil pans only hold 5 litres

Once the oil is in the whole container is sealed and easy to transport to your closest garage.

Are the ROSE containers and pickups free for the garages or are they rented?
If I pitch up at a garage and throw my oil in "their" bin will I peeve off the owner/manager because I'm costing them money by using up their storage?
Just wondering how that works.

Not sure, I happen to know a guy that owns his own workshop. Best would be to ask the owner.

I think they actually get paid for the oil or at least get it carted away for free. The guys who collect it recycle. Shouldnt be an issue if you just ask the people at the garage.
