i saw on etv news tonight that the oil price per barrel was $63 or there abouts, surely this is wrong?

weird .. sadly I drive a diesel - so no matter what oil does to the petrol price, diesel always goes up

Light sweet crude 114.95 $/barrel
Brent crude 112.64 $/barrel

so doubtful e-tv or fin24 are right .... goes and puts out the candles on the cake

They got is from here.

It appears to be a NYSE listed company with OIL as code.

No ideal why they would use something with shares & market cap as their oil reference. Some dude probably googled "oil price" and used the first result.

Doesn't look like it... I think fin24 is horribly wrong, Bloomberg are showing the price at 111.something dollars.

Its not unfortunately....

Fin24 finally fixed their site and its at 111.58

I think etv should at least double check their figures, esp when they're so CLEARLY out of whack....
