Hi ppl, hope this does not elicit a few flames.I've read this forum top to bottom and i can't find anything that sorts this out.So much for a first post :o

Now i've used Emule quite happily for some time until about a few days ago.Connections and uploads are cut off pretty quick, now there are those that can use Emule even though there is or is no port shaping. Now i've tried every MTU setting/TTL and everything else but nothing works.Has WBS cut me off in any way ??.....for reference sake i'm in PTA.

I'm a noob so if anyone can help then i really appreciate it. :)

Since there's no stampede to answer your question...

Just a thought, did you do anything to your firewall?

Iburst would throttle it maybe, but not disable it.

Hi Molotov
The same has happened with my emule. It had been working well till about 3 days ago. I suspect they are doing some serious port shaping on the p2p ports again. Every now and then I get 1KB down and I am able to search etc. The rest of the time nothing.

well it would entirely depend on what sort of content you were trying to download.... i can say this though, nothing beats a good 100mbit FTP

Well actually I use amule. It is for linux and seems to be the best edonkey client around for linux.

Exactly what happened to me,i had this happen roughly a month ago but it vanished when i tweaked my MTU.But this time 'round i think it's a bit more permanent.

Thanks for the answers guys :D
