How many of you guys out there switch off your office broadband connection at night and use the office login at home to save bucks... or am I the only scotsman here...

But seriously... does anyone know the ins and outs of duplicate logins - does this work in some places? i.e. if I got t31k0m to install a 512 line at my place, can I use my office login at home (while still logged in at the office)?...

Duplicate logins

Judging by all the bandwidth theft, I would say that duplicate logins work... lol!

Well I think I mannaged 7-8 on a single login and all in one on their own line. This worked telkom, mweb and wickhit (was on uunet and now known as datapro). But they count all the bandwidth of every person and add it to the account. We mannaged to get 180 gig total on a telkom account and we are not heavy users (uploads and downloads). Works out on about 11- 13 gb per person (downloads only). Thats the kind of adsl we all need. I will never be able to cap a 30 gb account, the sad thing is its within telkom's reach.

never say never.. Except when you talk about Telkom and price reductions or better service

Point taken :P
I think I use my internet more because I know its limited and this way I try to get eveythig I pay for (and dont pay for) out of it.

if you get 30 accounts and 30 users. and use 1 account per day and all 30 users logs in with that account to download. because of the 24 hour thing. you won't be capped at all.

kerrek?

That is true but the isp's moan when something like this happens, and coordinateing something like that takes allot of effort. We usually pick a person who's account we will cap the first day of the month, and download locally from, and then we cap each other person's accounts 2 days appart at the end of the month. Sometimes you get 2 days out of an account, sometimes 1.

Thanks - One More question

Thanks guys - great help... One more for the experienced out there... if I get a 192k account from t31k0m, can I login with 512k account details? Anyone?
