continuous connecting at 33.2kbps is starting to annoy the hell out of me. normally i get 36kbps and ive reach 40kbps on the odd occasion.
now all of a sudden my speed wont go higher than 34.6kbps and browsing has come to a complete standstill. however national browsing is fine. but international is rediculous - it took 8 minutes for ebay.co.uk to load.
im asking for a better and a cheap alternative to FNB ISP. that or some way to tweak my modem to run at a higher speed. im sitting on an internal modem attached to my laptop. (Connextant 56k ACLink Modem)
in my grandmothers room she can connect at 44kbps or 40kbps. im running a cable from the phone connection to my laptop but this cant be the problem as i have been connecting at 40kbps in the past.
