Hey guys,

Okay...played through my trial period and basically on my way to go and buy WoW. Just one more thing I need your advise about.

After lightning blew my PC into PC heaven about a month ago I bought a notebook, thinking that it would be more fun than desktop which I'm a bit dissapointed with now...but what's done is done...

It's a Core 2 Duo 1.8, 2gb of DDR2 Ram, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 - 256 MB, 15.4" Widescreen.

Now, to me the Notebook runs WoW quite well (obviously I set the graphics low).

Do you think that the setup I have is well...good enough for "good enough" gameplay?

Everything sounds good except the graphics card.
So it should run perfectly as long as some graphics "bells & whistles" are turned down a little.

I reckon it'll play fine...

Ive played on a Dell 510 laptop, dont even wanna mention specs

32mb onboard gfx card ftw!

have been kara on it, 14fps constant :p

That laptop should be fine. I've raided extensively on a Centrino 1.8ghz with 1gb ram. Just be sure to drop your display settings.

Sorry, did't want to post my thread the first time, but dunno why...long night I suppose...

Thanks for the advise...reckon I should give it a whack...

Thx werries2,

Saw your reply in the other "accidental" thread...

Yeah...I mean, its comfortable seeing that when I sit at my desk I plug my flat CRT monitor in with usb keyboard and mouse and then its quite good...

Look...I dunno what WoW looks like when running off a super machine...so guess it'll just look normal to me... :))

Yes Alienware is good, got one coming in from the Uk in December just can't decide on duel card Sli or the newer card for Directx 10 applications.

Currently use a HP Pavilion with a 512mb card and frames are constant at about 60 even in Shat and never below 40fps, but it sucks for a game like Fear and the cpu constantly over heats and shuts down.

you can get the new Alienware DX10 8800s in SLI.
I am on a 512MB X1600 and my laptop runs wow perfectly =)
