Old altech node box

Hey all so I discovered an old Altech node box in the back of a dusty cupboard and want to know if a person can not root it and load other operating sw on it as it seems yo be a bad box still. Any thoughts on this ???

Open it up and see if there's a 4 pin serial port.

No serial but it looks like it runs off a usb stick lol

The headers might not be soldered. Post a pic of the board. Is there a network port, try looking for SSH/telnet access next.

On the first pic in front of the USB header there is four pins that might be a serial port but the pics is not very clear, it might also be under those shields. Is the SSH/telnet ports open?
