I want to build a water feature thingy, but I'm going to need some pots and stuff. I'm going for an aged look and I'm working on a budget, so ain't nobody got time to wait for stuff to look old and ain't nobody got money to spend bloody R700 on a pot only to whack it with a hammer to get that "broken pot" look. They should be concrete or cement or clay or something like that, unless you have old plastic ones that looks good (like cement or clay or concrete). So:

Item Wanted: Old/aged/faded/cracked/broken pots, around 4 or 5 in total would be good, including possibly a "base" or large flat one for the "pool" at the bottom. Base can be plastic, that's fine
Packaging Essential: Nope
Desired Age: Doesn't matter one bit, but not too dirty please. At least wash it off with a hose or something
Location: Pretoria
Willing to accept a shipped item: Hell no
Ballpark/Budget Amount: Between free and R100 a piece, more of they're big enough?

In essence I'm looking to make something like this:

So this should give you an indication of what I'm looking for, more or less.

There's a place off Witkoppen that manufacture cement pots and sell the defective / cracked ones for a negotiable price ~R100 for what you're looking for.

Well that's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, thanks man! I see they're not too far away, might pop by there this coming school holiday and get the project under way.

If anyone has any at home in Pretoria though, I'd still like the more free option... :P

Which one - the Ekhaya Salvage Yard? Concretro?

Neither. I can't remember the name of the company but I know they supply to Builders Warehouse. They have a large range of cement pots (in perfect condition) at a fraction of the price you'll pay at builders - and they're open on Saturdays.

Yes, found them there. Just to the lower left of that pic you posted they seems to have a crapload of broken/busted/failed pots. Definitely stopping there sometime. I was at Builders now-now and I saw they had a bunch of good-looking CHEAP plastic pots, which might work even better, so let's see what I can manage to get right. Plastic might end up working better, since it's already waterproof, doesn't need sealing and will work with a really lightweight frame underneath it. Also easy to cut/drill and seal up again when I'm done.

Choices, choices...

Thank you, bonus for Saturdays.
