Old car finance - who does it?

So I'd like to know who finances cars that are older than 5 years? Like cars in the 80's or 90's or even flippen 2004 cars? Who does it?

2004 wouldn't exactly count as you can still finance a car up to 7 years old at competitive rates. Older than that and you can't exactly negotiate the interest rate anymore - it's a take-what-you-get situation.

Yep...think they pretty much the only ones with regards to old cars (2004 model doesnt fall into this though...this can still easily be financed)

Yup, just come from Barons, and the only bank that will look at a 2002 car that I am trying to finance is Wesbank. We did not discuss rate, rather how much it would cost me over 3 years.

AA financed the dude who bought my 6yr old GTi. I think its a subsidiary of Westbank!
