Hi Guys, what can I do with the PACE PVR ? This seems like a PC, can I not load an OS onto it ?

No chance, all very proprietary software only and even hardware. Hardly works with DStv anymore either though if you mean the HD 4 tuner.

I heard they are very aerodynamic and will glide for quite a distance when frisbee'd off a high-ish location..

You can probably rip the sata hard drive out and do something with it. I've done that before, think it was a Western Digital drive, worked fine after formatting.
