Old Mutual announces MVNO

Old Mutual has launched a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) on Cell C. The insurance giant says it will offer competitive mobile services that will transform mobile connectivity in the lower-income market.

It has promised to provide customers with unparalleled value in data packages.
Have heard this all before only to get the same deals repackaged into different sizes.

It will also offer a two-for-one bundle when customers buy any data product. For every data bundle users buy, they will get an additional one for free.
Why complicate things? Just give double the data or make it 50% cheaper.

Not another one!

We have more than enough of those and they offer nothing different from each other.
Every bank has to have one, they all need to have e-peens that are the same size. Imagine the shame of not having one when out on the playground? The other kids will shun you!

Honestly.

ARE THEY IDIOTS?

Sorry Jan, but honestly

Its either Vodacom, Telkom or Starlink or Airalo. The rest is just a waste

(And I wont mention MTN because their service sucks, you dont know SPAM till youre with MTN, and they like to be in all worn torn areas)

And seriously you can get a Simcard for R5?

Telkom gives them for free if you visit their store, and honestly their network is better.

So now we are going to be getting more SPAM CALLS.

Lol I’m with a MTN mvno and get zero spam.

LOL, all mobile providers have something serious to learn from Viettel in Vietnam. Was there for just over 2 weeks, and got myself a tourist sim (eSIM for that matter)

3G/5G of Data per day (can't exactly recall, but never run out of data) for 30 days @ 200,000 VND (~R156 when off my credit card). And for a super density cities, I never had a problem with signal nor speed. Was able to have a proper WhatsApp call with relatives back in SA whiles on a moving train in their country side.

Not sure what the locals pay however, I assume it's cheaper for them
