So fergie is trying his antics again to put pressure on the officials for the game against chelsea. blatantly accusing referees and saying that they don't get the decisions in big games. good tactics and playing mind thats all it is.

hope they suspend him for 10 games and fine him with months wages. the old fart should just retire on a good note on a high rather then being unknighted by the so-called "Sir".

its getting boring now
 
But it's true though. Man U are always victimised. :p
 
To be fair, officials are ruining big games with bad decision making

Give it a rest now. No one saw that handball except Van Persie. Not the ref, not the linesman, not the players, not all the people who watched it on TV. Van Persie was the only one who saw it. Put yourself in that linesman's position. That ball being whipped in at that speed and the angle causes him not to see the handball. You'd need an amazing pair of eyes and balls to call that a penalty from that angle and position.

Ahhh ok, so because nobody saw it, it's ok. Isn't it the job of the match officials to see things in games.

Ferguson going on about referees after he had a major decision go his way is a little sad. He and United fans are probably the only people who didn't see it.

Did I say it was okay? My point is that it's stupid to bitch about something that no one saw. No one saw it except VP. Fact.

That fact that we're talking about it means that a lot of people saw it. The only people that didn't see was the match officials on the day and Ferguson.

My point is that Ferguson should go look at the replay and stop complaining about the referees in games that he is not even involved in. Coming out in the media and saying that he doesn't get decisions to go his way, when he clearly does, is a bit sad.

No one saw it when it happened besides one or two Arsenal players - fact
Everyone saw it on the replay as did Fergie and admiited it was a handball - go read the article again

He saw it on the replay and then dissmissed it because nobody saw it during the game. Nobody saw the offside on the second goal for Chelsea (as it was not given), but that again is a decision that doesn't favour him so he feels hard done by. Please explain the logic in that.

'It was a clear penalty,' said Ferguson. 'He was definitely brought down. But we're not going to get the decisions in these big games I'm afraid.
'Obviously it gives Chelsea a major chance now and that's what happens. They got great decisions (against Tottenham on Saturday) but we never seem to get these kind of decisions.'

He has a point, Chelsea were gifted 2 goals, but were werent...:D

And I think he is referring to the last 3 league games with Chelsea (there were some horrific decisions none more so than the Drogba offside goal)
 
The issue here is that no one saw it until extensive replays were shown. I couldn't care less about what Fergie said.

If you look at the title you would find that this thread is about what Fergie said.

As for extensive replays, you'll find that when they showed the first replay during the live game, the first thing the commentator said was: "Ohh look it was handball, it should have been a penalty."

Its not like they used hot spot or called in CSI to figure that one out.

In Fergies defense, if you get so many decisions going your way, you start thinking thats how things should be and its very understandable that he will get confused when things don't go his way. :D

Yes, the thread title, but what were you and I discussing? The handball issue. Not Fergie. The fact of the matter is that only one person saw the what actually happened while millions of others didn't. Continue harping on that if you like.

I am just trying to understand your point. This is what I am currently understanding.

If the officials doesn't spot the infringement its ok and as fans we should not complain about it.

The difficulty of spotting that one is in question (hence the decision,even though incorrect is understandable)
 
People bitching and moaning about SAF is laughable. The reality is, no manager is gonna come and say, yeah, the reffing has been brilliant, more of the same. Fact is, SAF knows the score, what he says in public is the same thing, and every single manager in the League/world is going to say publicly what he thinks will benefit his team. Tbh, the only one who keeps is real (for the most part) from what I can see is Ancelotti, so Arsenal and Liverpool fans complaining about Fergie is absurd.
