Old SA TV Series

The SABC oldies channel must have stopped broadcasting on DStv because of a lack of viewership.

Maybe I'm missing something but do you thing politics played a role in DStv dropping it? Or just a general lament?

No, in reality just not enough desire for anything old SA , from majority of populace.

Understandably, too I guess. Particularly this generation.

Pop Shop!!

( Ok not a series per se but aired every Friday at 6 or 7pm???)

There was this mini series The Mantis Project, with Marius Wyers and Sandra Prinsloo, it used to freak me out.

About an Isolation project in a Namib mining ghost town, very subtle physcological horror, there was this rocking horse in the attic, which would start rocking by itself, and the constant lack of water, isolation and excessive heat and dust.

Wish I could see it again, cant find it anywhere.

Yes, and the piano that would start playing by itself. Scared the kak out of me as a kid. But I read up on it again recently and apparently it was all allegory, metaphors and symbolism for apartheid.
To me as a kid, it was just a scary show
