How can this be that already the old SD PVR is off the market?

Surely it cannot be that off dated by now?

I needed that for an installation and now it sucks big time.

Wow.

Yes i can but you know how it is with a second hand product LOL.

Gonna choose to leave it rather, i think it is the better option.

I have emailed the person with a few other options so i am waiting for him to reply with his thoughts on this.

Thanks

It's been off the market for a fair while, as far as I know. Regardless, depending on the installation requirements, you should be able to use a PVR 2P even if HD isn't needed. It still has a normal composite output & the extra R50-odd per month is for PVR functionality, not for HD...

Well it wont work as the guy wants four rooms with different viewing environments so i need the old SD PVR with view 2 channels yeah.

I explained to him that just doing a small basic extraview with 1131 decoder together with his current HD PVR 4 tuner would be the way i suggest. Far from what he wants but still he will be one step better of then what he is right now. And just maybe pull two cables either from his room and split it to his childrens rooms, or one cable from his room and one cable from the tv room and having to cope with watching what those rooms are watching then.

SD PVR been off the market for a few years now, at least 2.

Xtra view can be extended to more than one decoder btw.

SD PVR's are way more responsive & give way less problems than the HD PVR's. They go 2nd hand for R2k min....
