I hope there's a complete wacko or Rainman type on this forum because this will be one of the most obscure and impossible to answer questions.

Anyone remember 'Neskuiken'? It was one of those horribly depressing shows dubbed form some European language into Afrikaans. The show was the worst but the theme was brilliant. I've heard it again in an elevator :D

If you know the name of the piano instrumental please put a guy out of his misery.

It went: Duh dum, dum dum dum, tinkle tinkle .................ahhhh whatever!

The one about a pilot flying a Grumman Goose on a island. I think the title had the word "monkey" in it? (Ah, Tales of the Gold Monkey)

Ok, found this list, forgotten about quite a few: http://www.vetseun.co.za/anarkans/skryf/anartv.htm

They re-broadcast 'Kooperasie Stories' a few weeks ago and I loved it.
I used to find it utterly depressing when I was a kid though.
By the way, it is for sale on dvd from SABC for the low low price of +/- R900!

Also Derek. Deereeeek derek! "Hy is hier weg in sy duitse sportmotor Inspekteur. 'n Regte skobbejak as jy my sou vra......."

what was that one where Tobie Cronje kept asking about "Trixie se spene"?

The reason for all the Afrikaans reruns at the moment is that the SABC is trying to get its Afrikaans content to the lvel specified by ICASA. Thus, if it is in Afrikaans it will be flighted early in the morning.

I sincerely hope that Derek does make a comeback though!

I think it might be 'Nommer asseblief' that you are thinking of (that catchy yackyackyack theme tune)
Mattewis & Meraai is not for those with suicidal tendency's. Vyfster was also good. Liked it more the second time round.

Hi Roy
I've been living in the UK for a number of years but so much loved Kooperasiestories when I was back in South Africa.
I see you mention that one can purchase it from the SABC.
Could you possibly give me some pointers as to where I can get hold of them?
I've checked this website, but couldn't find it: http://enterprises.sabc.co.za/
Will really appreciate your (or anyone's) advice on this.

I seem to remember that.
Wasn't there also a stick-figure character that used to walk against a blue background on a solid white line and mumble some gibberish?
