Typical SA Government type Bureaucracy where they more interested in getting as much from the gravy train as possible and making sure their buddies get the same service.

I doubt the next president will be any better.
 
Was watching the match postmortem the other night and a valid question was raised.
When we were at the top the money in the sport was significantly less. To the point that people actively campaigned for more money in soccer.

Now, there is more money than ever, yet we have sunk so low in standard and quality of play, let alone zero depth, it is a disgrace.

I wager the money has all been gravy for the fatcats.

For a nation of give or take 45 million people, with the sport of soccer being the biggest supported and played sport in this country, it is unthinkable that we have sunk to the depths that we have.

Why have heads not rolled at all levels, including the players.

We should be able to compete on a world stage against major nations.

Why is it that rugby is able to do this yet in soccer we flounder so horribly?

When a company underperforms to such epic proportions in the corporate world, the head of the organisation is the ultimate sacrifice. But i blame Fifa for this whole mess. Molefi had actually (after a lot of pressure from the media), handed in his resignation a few years back when Sepp blatter stepped in and ordered him to reverse that decision. As we all know our dear Mr Oliphant is such a spineless swine, he duly obliged. Maybe we could still have saved ourselves a few blushes. The less said about Irvin Khoza the better though.
 
Anoter question that was posed, how many players in the current national side came though the ranks, as you would have in rugby under 19 21 etc.

The commentators could hardly think of any.

What exactly does SAFA do then I ask?
 
it's all fifa's fault with their no gov interference in soca policy.
i mean at least we cud have khompela putting some heat under safa's ample behind. i mean safa is a jobs for pals scheme. when u work for safa u get a merc to roll around in - what co. still offers their employees co. cars! mercs to boot.

and sa's problems have nothing to do with coaching, a team of the best coaches in the world wouldn't help us. it is a lack of talent which means safa lack of youth dev structures. baxter and carlos both proposed a comprehensive youth dev structure (i mean they wrote full reports on how to go about this), but what did they get? they got fired!

That would've been sweet. I can almost see Khompela now. "The situation is unacceptable". "Heads must roll". :D

We can only dream. We're stuck with an organisation that is absolutely annihilating our footbal. I hate Sepp Blatter. :mad:
