Ombidsman regarding Webafrica

Hi guys is there a Ombidsman regarding Internet service provider? here is my problem im habing with webafrica.

First issue i have is that i do not get my internet speed that i should be getting at night. i should have 50 mb/s. most days i only get like 8 to 12 mb per second. Then i try to call them and another problem they are closed. their customer support closes very early. The ln i wait untill the next morning to call them and i spend 30 min holding on to get through, then i end up putting the phone down because i do not have loads of airtime to waste. Then i decided to log a support ticket. i have logged 2support tickets the last week including 1 today to cancel my service. and this morning when i logged on they removed the support ticket without helping me.

Today i had enough of this nonsense and i called again. held on long again and finally after loads of waiting the last couple of days i finally get through while i still have airtime. i then requested for the to cancel my service i want to move to another service provider. Then i was told i have to give 1 month notice. They put me through to a senior manager and i explained my experience with them the last week. She the promised me that a techical support agent will call me at 7 pm tonight to try and see what the issue is.

7 pm came and gone and no one called. The issue i have now is the 1 month notice, i am already not getting what i'm paying for and webafrica is no help at all. how on earth can i go another month with the notice period if they dont even fix my line like it is.

is there someone i can speak to so that they can just get my stuff cancelled and released now. thats all i want i have paid the full month and i font care if i loose out i am just tired of trying to fix it and getting nowhere
 
I had a LTE service with webafrica, terrible speed in my area. I never called them only raised support tickets through the website, they sent me some rubbish troubleshooting steps which dint resolve the issue. Eventually I asked them to cancel, they gave me the one month notice crap to which I objected so they let me cancel at end of my billing cycle.
Mention ICASA in your support email, see if they respond.
 
I had pretty much the same experience and so I just cancelled online, rode out the 1 month and won't be bothering with them again. They used to be great but I'm not sure what happened, I get the feeling they grew too fast and can't offer the same level of support they used to.

the thing is i need the internet to be able to work. and the other thing is i am not getting what i am paying for. tried to call again this morning to tell them no one called me and i want it cancelled and released now, but i hold on for days
