Well, hi there :)
Recently purchased myself a Nikon D5100 Kit, 55-200 lens and 50mm f1.8G

If i put the camera in FULL AUTO the Flash' AF light comes on nice and constant - however, when going into the creative modes the AF light doesn't come on at all.
Anyone experienced this before - how do I force it to always use this light ?
Bear in mind that i'm doing some low light 'club' photo's as a test to get to know the camera

A lot of the creative scene modes on the D5100 disable flash and AF assist light. The manual gives details about each mode and whether the AF assist or flash is available or not.

To always use the AF, you'll have to go into one of the "proper" modes like aperture priority mode, shutter priority mode or even manual and take control of all the settings.
