THE PROBLEM with the world today is that finding a simple piece of technology is extremely difficult. Manufacturers seem unable to fight the urge to add on superfluous functionality to every device they produce, even if they know that nobody will ever use it.

The thing is that adding features to devices costs very little nowadays. Even if folks don't use them, they are so easy to include at a near null extra cost to the original intent of the device...

This article gave me a Déjà vu. It was almost like that “Simple Cellphone” article. Putting more into something is always better in my opinion. Yea having a simple techno gadget using a Simple and Easy interface is good, but who says I won’t be using those extras they are building into the things? It’s for me to decide not some article writer or the manufacturers.

How restrictive? What do you mean? If you mean the dock they state in the article? Yea that is stupid, but otherwise I don’t see the apple products as restrictive. Not at all.
