Onboard graphics and graphics card clash

Having onboard graphics card on ure motherboard then getting a graphics card, will it in anyway affect eachother or clash in anyway? And is this possible to do this?

Normally the onbaird gets disabled automatically when you plug in a dedicated graphics card. On some newer nvidia and ATI chipsets you can reenabled onboard for a multiscreen setup...

Just disable your onboard graphics in your bios

Not always, have a nForce430 MoBo, disabled on-board graphics in the BIOS but when I installed the PCI-Ex Card Drivers, it installed both the 6100 and My 8600GTS which did cause some conflicts in One or Two of my games (even with the device disabled in Device Manger).

One way that did work for me was to uninstall Nvidia video drivers and restart. Both VGA devices should show in the Device Manager as unknown, then install your drivers, i used Forceware 158.22, the name of your PCI-Ex card should show. Before rebooting like the installer suggests, go to Device Manger and disable the uninstalled VGA adapter.

Should sort it out.

Forceware 158.22..dont tell me this is the latest drivers edition.As i have custom extreme g nvidia forcware drivers97.44 i think.
So i am way of,wait let me go to nvidia site to check
