Once again... An Afrihost billing problem

This is honestly bull now,

I have been patient with all your billing nonsense!

First I get an email that my Afrihost + has been cancelled "as per my request" must have been my Ghost I don't know.

Second I get an email stating that my account is in arrears, you have unsuccessfully charged a card that I have removed from your systems knowing very well that I don't use it anymore. Wtf are you guys doing? Every time you incorrectly charge that card the bank is charging me for your incompetence. You are ruining an excellent product with careless systems and procedures!

Every single time I top up, there's a billing problem! Now you are proving that even if a person changes their card details you keep that information and continue using it as you please, doesn't inspire much confidence in how ethically you treat clients bank card details!

I'd like to second this sentiment above.

After logging into the Client Zone, and go to :

Billing - Manage Payment Details - then click on card/expiry details - on the next screen - click on Delete Card - get pop-up message headed-up : "Remove Credit Card" with :

No Details Found
We could not find any other payment details, with the same frequency that belong to you

What does that have to do with wanting to delete the c/card ?

The only option then is to :

Cancel, leave as is

How else does one delete their credit card details from the Afrihost system ?
Does it have to be done by e-mailing them to do so ?

Didn't mean to hijack this thread, but it is related, so would appreciate feedback from an Afri. rep.

EDIT : I only have 2x 1GB test accounts left with Afri. ; nothing that would incur charges, as I moved over to Axxess two or three months ago & have been with Vox for a few years.

I'll need to check what happened on your account. If you check in the Billing section and select the old card, do you see see any products linked to it still?
 
The card is no where to be seen on my Clientzone, I removed and replaced it with another card.

Heya Vhonani. I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. :( I can see that you're currently working with our Team on Facebook as well. I'm sure we'll be able to clear things up for you.

As it stands, we can only see one card linked to your packages. Please feel free to PM me so that we can discuss your sensitive account information more freely. :)
 
I have had problems for 4 months since my last credit card was stolen and cancelled. I get penalised every month end as my payment is not processed. The accounts clerks simply cut and paste instructions over and over and really don't give a damn. I follow the instructions to the letter. Will try one more month with this "don't care" attitude and will be moving on. I have sent them numerous proof of their system being the problem (VSC?) they either don't care or are not trained. Their service is great otherwise but accounts department/system needs an overhaul so as to sort this disaster out.

Sorry for the bad experience you are having. I want to help.

Did you add your new card details and removed the old card? There is an issue that causes a new card not be added to clientzone when using chrome. I can suggest using FireFox to add your card and deleting the old card. If your old card is still being deducted I think there might be a system issue causing that and I can look into that. Can you send me your clientzone email address via a private message for me to have a look at your account?

Its 2025 and these guys still have an incompetent accounts department
