Once off 7 day data, vs recurring data bundle

First up, apologies as I'm sure this type of question has been asked before. I'm just terrible at searching on forums from my phone, and Vodacom's website isn't clear.

I have a monthly recurring 2GB data bundle on my old Smart contract.

On the 30th August I bought the R99 for 2GB for 7 days once off (*124#), because I'm doing an assignment that needed a bit of data, and my recurring was almost depleted.

So I've now got 2GB on my recurring (because of new month), and just under 1GB from the promotional (valid till the 6th)......
Which one gets used first?

Getting a detailed sms from *111# shows the promotional bundle details first, then the monthly, then the carry-over from last month's recurring (17MB hehe). Can I assume that's the order it'll all be used up in?

I too have pondered this as I also use Vodacom's Play Every Day and win airtime every so often.

As long as you do not use more than the amount of data you have purchased for 7 days you won't dip into your recurring bundle.

On a personal note I find the 7 day bundles useful sometimes but on the whole I still spend way too much on data.

I know with the Vodacom app it shows you all the bundles you have loaded and the current balances and expiration date of each. From personal experience the 7 day bundles usually get used first.

I also checked on my balances and the '2GB for 7 days' data is being depleted first... Whew!
