err....just made my first iBurst Payment which was suppose to be R600..but err...now it's R1100....so I called them up and they explained that it's a Pro Connection fee or something like that to the value of R500...WTF...why was this not explained nor mentioned when I applied...actually I can recall me asking the dude and the responce was just a straight R500...I installed everything myself...this really pisses me off

I really am starting to believe that iBurst are a dishonest bunch.

IIRC correctly I was charged a small admin fee on the first month but it wasn't R500

Connection fee?

Hmmm...didn't think I got it on special but when I signed up I was told the connection/admin fee was NONE and charged thus,

Same! ...this really messes up my budget

No no...I mean...I was told no fee and charged no fee.

So I don't know what the fudge they're charging you for...since you've already BEEN connected for some time. Perhaps a bitching session is in order? Sounds quite w0ng to me.

Seems I may have spoken to soon. I was charged a R114 connection fee back in July 2005.

It must have changed then since when I got my G3 connection 2 years ago it was a straight R699 and no connection fee.:D

Maybe wbs need the extra cash these days since they don't have the income from their lottery link to boost their bank balance until it restarts assuming it will.

Is it not perhaps a pro-rata payment for a partial month's subscription?

When i signed up in feb 2 years ago, i was also told there was no connection fee and then charged extra R500 for connection fee a few months later...

These guys are sharks of the nastiest kind, but the system is the best we can get so we're unfortunately stuck with them...

Yes, the delivery fee was always there I think. Not unreasonable to expect them to charge for delivery me thinks.

They should charge you a install fee if they have installed you! ie given u good signal and also helped you out.
