Did you order your iBurst package through iBurst (WBS) or through a reseller? Maybe they're charging you? I dunno, my first invoice showed a big zero next to "connection fee"...

Yes, the delivery fee was always there I think.

No delivery fee for me. The courier just showed up at my door with an orange box and a piece of paper to sign. Maybe I just struck it lucky?

You don't pay 5/6 of your account for next month randomly..

As far as I know you pay iBurst accounts in advance. If you join halfway through the month your first payment will be pro-rata for that month and the full amount for the next.

Thus the R500 extra... pro-rata payment for March.

It's probably in the contract that subscription is paid monthly in advance. I was actually happy to find this out.

I found this out when I saw the invoice.

Ok guys - REEELLLAAAXXXX. Breath deep! Ok now that we have all calmed down to a freak out levels, let's have a look at a hypothetical situation. John signs up on a R699 package on 8 April. So he should pay a prorata fee of 21/30 x R699 = R489.30. On the 1 May, he will pay R699 for May (in advance) as well as R489.30 for the usage in April. Total = R1188.30. There is (at present) no connection fee. There WAS one early in 2006 (if memory serves me correctly) but this has been discontinued. However, all the other companies (voda, MTN, Sentech) charge one so don't be TOO surprised if IB do introduce this again.
