For TV's that are made for the international market they work very well, we have a very old LCD tv that was made for the SA market only, thats the only TV that doesnt work with a AIO remote in my house.

They have a whole book full of TV's, Hi-Fis, DVR's, CD players with their codes.

It even works with DSTV (sort of).

I've had two the 7130 and the smart 7960. They are decent if you've got an older Samsung TV, old DSTV pvr, dvd player etc, basically anything from 2013 downwards is fine.
I've not managed to get the 7960 to work with the Samsung BR Player, Hisense TV, explora or the jvc in the room.

Thanks.

Any other cheap, simple universal brand?

It is a 2015 Samsung 55JU6600, an LG soundbar and I think Dstv Explorer. Main thing with the TV is just on and off.

DSTV is 90% of the use

For the TV you might be able to use the 7960. Where in JHB are you? You can try mine out to see if it works.

You can use your original remote to teach it. i use ny 7960 on my sam tv and bd and xbox one.

I used the xbox media remote to teach it the functions.

Yeah I know about the teaching, it's not an easy task to teach it the explora remote :(

Thanks. Northriding. Yourself?

It's more my stepfather and although I told him to be weary, he can be stubborn and do his own thing.

Are there any other easy and cheap remote brands, or that pretty much it ?
