One in five workers "telecommute" to work each day

I think they must have only surveyed people in desk jobs who would have been able to telecommute. I find it hard to believe that 20% of - say - shop assistants telecommute. ;)

Like I mentioned in another thread: I think telecommuting helps with making work hours flexible and avoiding traffic. I still wouldn't want to work from home all the time. Its very lonely and humans need some social interaction to stay sane. Telecommuting for a few hours each day and then doing my normal road commute outside of rush hour does a lot of good for my sanity :)
