Hi Guys

I am awfully sorry to post this thread again, but I figure I will try this one last time, and if I don't get good advice I will go and return the TV.

I have a Sansui 42" LED 120Hz TV. The problem is the soccer. It is blurry (ghosting if you like). It seems to effect certain colours, teams playing in red for instance. I also noticed when the camera is close up it does not give a problem but as soon as the camera switches to a wider, further angle, it becomes visible again. Any tips? Is it the TV, The PVR the HD Cable or the settings?

It's the TV. Get a decent one and the problem should be gone :erm:

Easiest way to resolve is to swap tv with another user - so test your pvr on their tv and their pvr on your tv. Decisive way is to grab the whole lot and walk into Multichoice service centre and put your config on the table. You won't leave without some sort of answer.

Only other thing I can suggest is you reset the tv's screen settings (brightness etc) to force the factory settings. If that doesn't work, manually select tv format (eg pal) as there is more than one variant

Don't waste your time, return the TV.

This is the gamble you take by not going with a popular brand name. In theory a 100Hz TV should provide a decent sports viewing experience, but behind the "puppet" brand lies some obscure Chinese factory which provides little guarantee of quality wrt to the digital side of the TV (signal processors & firmware routines), often resulting in poor picture/motion quality.

Have you tried Googleing its model number?

Get a plasma, you can get a 50 inch one for that price.

Sansui no longer a top brand? How the might have fallen then.

Sansui was actually a top brand for quite sometime, but I think it got bought out like JVC and Telefunken years ago.

Hi Guys

Firstly I would like to thank everybody for the assistance they gave me by replying to this thread! I'm new to the forum but I'm certain I will be using it alot! you guys all rock!

Anyway, quick update with my situation. I took the TV back to Hifi Corp and they told me that I can come in for an exchange or for a credit so I can buy a new TV somewhere else! I'm pretty chuffed! will be doing some more research this time around

I thought Sansui was ok, until i got a samsung. Sansui is utter and complete RUBBISH
