Onkyo TX-DS575 remote problem

Hi guys.

I have this old faithful AV Receiver that has been going strong for over 6 years.

Recently the remote stopped working. I did the usual troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that it is the IR sensor is faulty. This seems to be a "common" problem on the Internet.

Where can I have this repaired? Is it easy to do DIY? Where can I get spares?

Point the remote at a camera and press the buttons, you should see light if the remote is working.

Have you tried resetting the remote from the receiver menu? "Controlling Other Components" section of the manual

Hi

I have done all the above including the reset and it's definitely the sensor.
The remote even works with other equipment. I will look for the links for the problem.
