I know this is a 'how long is a string' question but...

on average how much traffic, in and out, would an online game like counterstrike generate per hour/day?

well looking at my smoothwall logs it uses about 5k up and 5k down.

In the good old days when I was playing BF2 it sucked around 50mb an hour and BF2 is very bandwidth intensive. I'm sure that CS:S is alot less than BF2.

Depends what server you play on. ADSL-only server use up about 40MB-50MB/hour while the normal servers use between 20-30MB/hour.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I have to install a 3rd party firewall i.e. smoothwall to be able to look at usage sensibly? I don't believe windows has this functionality?
