Online Gaming Ping

I play Age of Empires 3 on its online gaming service and I play other games on Game Ranger. But my ping is always so high(averages between 700-1300). I only sometimes experience lag but most of the time I'm always kicked from a game before it has started because of my high ping. Why is my ping so high? I use my mobile phone or a 3g modem to connect to the Internet. Also does wireless also cause router problems because most of the time I cant even join a game. How can I fix this? Thanks
 
I think u should visit the ISP forum for detail on things like "unshaped" bandwidth,modems & connections speeds

Currently also looking for an affordable ISP offering ...

Maybe there is some "guru" that knows how 2 use local bandwidth or if there is e.g. a Crysis server in RSA where 1 only uses local bandwidth (somehow tunnel ?)
Gaming is just 2 expensive 4 me as homebased user (most techies just ubuses their companies bandwidth & time )
 
Hey buddy.

Find out if your 3G Provider has unrestricted APN, seems to help with Vodcaom, MTN is unrestricted by default I think. Just give them a buzz.

Also, getting a fixed line ADSL connection and an Unshaped ISP account (ADSL Connection the road, ISP Account your car), and ask for an UNSHAPED account.
