Online gaming with ethernet connected modem?

I can't get any server names when i try play online, its like it doesn't even pick up that i am connected to the internet. This is ony recently that i have connected over the ethernet.

Please help.

What game are you trying to play? Is it like this for all games?

Also, are you saying that it worked before when connecting with USB?

btw, It definitely does work over Ethernet. In fact it shouldn't matter at all how you set up your connection..

Trying to play CSS, geting a ping of like 600 all the time, but my connection can be around 0.7 of a meg. Why the high response time?

Are you playing on local servers? they shouldnt ever be higher than 200ms or so with a good connection.
