Hi there, anyone else having problems with connecting to online servers?

Quake, Trackmania nations, Command & Conquer 3 and even mIRC doesn't seem to work, are these idiots really trying to block everything. Is there anyway of getting out of the contract, there is no more use for my connection if they keep on blocking everything.

Have been able to successfully connect to Quake servers before? What was your ping like?

C&C3 is 100% blocked, dont even try. I asked support on this and all i got was "we block p2p, we cant unblock for c&c3". [c&c3 uses p2p in multiplayer]

WTF? they even blocked google, I guess i'm gonna cancel my contract tomorrow, they can sue me if they want to I had enough of their **** now. What are paying them for anyway?

Let us know how it goes as they won't let you out of the contract unless you pay for the full 24 month whether you use it or not.

Also let us know if they try to tell you that some payments were missed at some stage.

As a matter of interest how long have you had iburst?

only had Iworst for 2 months now, this is the first time I really had problems. Is there no legal way of getting out of those F-up contracts as they already used false advertising to get customers about their speeds of 1MB/s.

T3ROR, some have already tried and were not successful, those blood suckers will hang onto you unless you pay them in full.
At least since you've only been with them for 2 months you can hardly have missed any payments.

lol? You think they blocked google... there must be something going on then :/

I'm pretty sure there must be grounds to get out of a contract if iBurst created the impression that a person can use it for on-line gaming and then you cannot use it for it.

T3ROR just contact them and say that the sales person at iBurst said to you that their service can be used for on-line gaming and you demand they provide it. If they cannot provide it the contract is null and void.

I already got legal support on this and supplied them with all the details, they seem to able to help me with the contract I will however keep you posted on this matter. If the ruling goes my way I would advise anyone still on a contract to go the same route as they mislead the public into false claims and advertising.

I don't think it's going to be so easy to get out of it since if you get out many others will follow, so be prepared for iburst to hold you to the contract.

It would indeed be good news if you manage to get out of it though.

Wow TMN :p I could connect to that and play quite comfortably on a GPRS connection  cool game though...still loved hearing the SA Anthem being played on American servers when I won :D seemed funny for some reason

Don't see any point for I-Worst to be blocking such a "bandwidth intensive" program in the first place

You've only had the service for two months, how did you hear about it? Did you not do any research for taking the contract dive?

Many got it purely from the false advertising, the one at fault here and in many cases is iburst.

Sure starting to look like you in someone's pocket, either that or just plain dumb!!!

LOL, I can see what the ASA has been established. The dumb ones are the people believing everything they hear on TV.

And no, for the last time I'm not in any way endorsed by iBurst (ps. If any iBurst employees are listening and are interested in giving me some free gbs feel free to PM me :D )

hey Fudzy, i've only been on this forum for a short while and all the posts i've read from you, you always seem to cover for iBurst. Seems a bit strange even if I can see it after only a short while.

By the way by the time I joined iBurst advertised 1MB/s speeds which was reasonalble considering my application for ADSL from Telkom which would've cost me much more for their 1MB/s service.

(Oh and yes iBurst employees give him some free GB's, dunno what he's gonna use it on as most ports are blocked anyway.)
