First of all, I understand that it is illegal in SA. However, the individual will not (can not?) be prosecuted. The law prefer to go after the casino rather. Which means that casinos in SA is illegal, but those outside our borders can not be touched.

That means there is a way to play Roulette on-line in SA at casinos overseas that accept South Africans.

I love Roulette and would like to play on-line. I however want to find out first from those that do, how they find it.
1. Is the wheel biased towards the house?
2. Does discounts, offers, coupons etc. apply to Roulette?
3. Do you get a feeling of integrity and honesty from your on-line casino?
4. Have you ever had banking problems or attempted hacking?
5. Do they readily pay out your winnings?
6. Is the software 'bulletproof', or does it hang from time to time in the middle of a spin or session, breaking your concentration or run?
7. Do you play one-on-one against the software, or is there multi-player games against the house?

Can you name the best on-line casinos, specifically paying attention to the above points and European Roulette, for South Africans?

I know of a person who lost his job because of online gambling. Just make sure that your company isn't audited for some compliance or another. Auditors sometimes check employers and employees for money laundering, then they pick up stuff like illegal gambling too.

Based on what do you believe that the individual will not be prosecuted? Any winnings being deposited into your account will be scrutinized by the bank and probably confiscated. Why don't you just go to a casino instead?

You will be prosecuted, and your winnings will be confiscated.

You opinion or belief is not shared by the gambling boards in this country. Online gambling is illegal, finish and klaar.

**EDIT** as an addition, any reputable online casino's will be actively blocking South African play now anyway.

So, is that everyones opinion? No one that is doing it?

How about having an overseas bank account, postal address and play via a proxy? I am not that desperate to play on-line, just curious.

Our local casino is the pits. Opened about 2003 and looks like a dogs breakfast. Two tables only in the smoking section and one table in the smoke free zone, which does not even have the electronic board indicating spin history. It is really not a pleasure going there.

You can gamble to your heart's content online.

They will gladly take your cash, but will be quick to tell you they can't refund/cashout for you.

Good luck with your donation of money to gambling operator goals of 2013.

Toxicbunny is correct.

Using “other” payment gateways can also be investigated by the authorities, you will have to withdraw your money (winnings) in some way or another and they will pick this up.

Our company PayPal movement’s gets check regularly by both PayPal and FNB to discover certain discrepancies, thus we already have the paperwork ready when they ask.

I know a guy who won a generous but small amount with PlayHugeLottos by utilising 2oceansvibelottos, the authorities took it. I already mentioned this in another thread. The guy was immensely unhappy, but some expert on this matters at 2oceansvibelottos assured him that the authorities is in the wrong… it was not the case when he went to get some legal counselling, so who is lying?

Its not an opinion, its legal fact.. its illegal and if you are caught they WILL prosecute you and confiscate your winnings.. period.
