Online storage

Mmm I see. Thanks for the info.

I've decided to backup all my VMs to Amazon S3 instead. Much more scalable and slightly cheaper than what Hetzner offers too.

I was hoping to see higher upload speeds though I'm using the Frankfurt region on S3. Getting between 30Mbps and 70Mbps up:

Code:
vzdump-openvz-101-2015_02_10-22_46_05.tar.lzo -> s3://<redacted>/vzdump-openvz-101-2015_02_10-22_46_05.tar.lzo  [part 2 of 7, 50MB]

Still perfectly fine though.

You should try grab and Online.net Kidechaire on special if you can. This happens once or twice a year. Only 2 EU and makes for a great little backup box! (1.6ghz single core CPU, 2GB ram, 160GB disk, 1gigabit port and 100GB free FTP backup space.)

I've got 4 of these and I was lucky enough that one came with a 500GB SSHD drive instead! I chuck all my backups to those and then sync them for redundancy.

I am thinking of getting a more powerful Hetzner box when I get some time - as I wan't to run some Proxmox VM's.
