So yesterday @ 3pm my adsl line went down.
I had to leave soon after so I didn't log a fault. We all know how long that can take.. I got home at about 12pm last night. Line still down. So I do the 0800 375 375 thing. This morning it's still down so I decide to go back to doing things my way and call my friend Mr Molotsane* at Telkom
Not only can he remember my phone number (I dont even know it myself) but tell me exactly which dslam and port I go through. !0 minutes later my line back up and working.
I completely forgot about it until now when I got this lovely sms from Telkom:
This raises the question: Do they actually know what's going on in their own company?
*For ic's peace of mind - Not THE molotsane. just a nickname we gave him as a joke because of a similar sounding surname and the telkom connection

This is a progress update from Telkom SA. Fault [reference number] for Service ID [phone number] is in-hand with our tech repair division. Please do not reply to this SMS
