Well im in Cape town, not much of a surprise that you guys have everything better than us once again.

I only play guitar, but Ill be wanting to record bass too, Im geussing the Guitar Port will record bass too.

Well for now I cant afford this. So what would you guys reccomend for recording if you cant get this? I also cant get a mixer atm... no money at all.

So Ive only got a amp and my sound card. The best way to go just straight through the headphones/recording port on the amp into the line in on the soundcard?

That's just fine. It's not gonna make a difference to add a mixer inbetween. You control the volume from the amp, perfect. I used to do exactly that before. This new card of mine however only has rca inputs. Obviously when you go pro you can get all the stuff.

Maybe one day when i can play guitar properly i would like to try bass aswell

Bass is a Breeze if you got the the feel, co-ordination and the basics of root chords and most important of all the ear and rythumn (Which you should have by now playing the guitar) then there's no problem you work from there...Warning! In the beginning of Bass playing you bound to have very sore fingers and a few blisters but they will eventually harden lol...And another thing Don't try playing a Bass through a guitar amp, you'll find yourself popping speakers...(An Expensive excercise)

Ja. I can play bass fine just from my guitar playing.

And Ive already blown a crappy amp from playing too much bass through it. but it was seriously bad, home made type amp.

But slapping solos are another story... Victor Wooten stuff I cant exactly pull off.
