My customer applies for a line and adsl from telkom. she receives an sms on Monday instructing her they will be there today, so she takes a day off. so lunchtime she phones and is told that the sms means nothing and they will let her know when they will be there, witch i would have thought the sms was just that. so i phone now to find out what is going on, to be told. she has been added to a waiting list as there are not enough ports. and will be done when it is her turn. what the hell is going on at telkom.

this is such poor business practice. Now im left to explain to the customer.
 
The client needs to get rid of whole families in the neighbourhood to get some freed up ports.Getting rid of the owner isnt enough:whistle:
 
problem is its my customer and has now become my problem. went with to telkom store and there where no issues related to getting the papers signed. they only to willing for that.

Not much you can do there tbh. Either people move out or she moves to a different area.
Did she explicitly say she wants ADSL in her application.Surely Telkom sales can check to see if it has capacity available,or is that wishful thinking?
 
yes she requested adsl, they told her to take the 10meg 24month option and they will not charge for her line installation and get a free modem.
