JOHANNESBURG - A champion of positivity, Ontlametse Phalatse, has passed away.

She passed away on Tuesday night at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa, outside Pretoria.

The 18-year-old was one of two South African girls living with a rare genetic disorder.

Reading more into it now and apparently she also started a Fund for Progeria sufferers. She apparently was very famous just I have never heard of her. So I won't say it's not news worthy, maybe not to you and I but she was very famous if famous is the right word.

i would imagine she would have been known to those who are doing research more than the public i suppose. i also haven't heard about her. but more of fransie.

i guess someone who is exposed to the public for a specific reason would be well known in the right area. i suppose i wasn't looking hard enough.
