Oops... vehicle license expired

Hi myBB'ers,

I've just realised that my license disc has expired just over a month ago. Please don't tell me I have to re-roadworthy etc.

Anybody know what I need to do now or what my options are?

I think you have a 3 week grace period. Beyond that I'm not sure. Maybe call the local licensing offices and find out, they can tell you exactly what you need to do.
 
in KZN, it's a 10% penalty per month.


No need to redo your roadworthiness etc.
 
R50 penalty and then late fees after the 21 days. waste of fsuckn money. hate it when im this silly. paying more tax than I need to.
 
YOu dont have to do anything. Just go and renew as per normal, you will pay a small penalty fee.

Just renew the disk and pay the small fine you would have incurred.
It's really a minor fine.
 
Just remember that when you go to renew it you will pay for 12 months + X months that it has been expired + fine.

The new license will be valid for 12 months from date renewed (expires last day of month before), so if you renew it now it will be valid until 31-12-2015 and not 12 months from when it expired.
 
Mine expired over 5 months. dunno how the fk i missed it.

How much over R700?
Mine expired end October 2014, had to pay R854.40 in December, did it online then they post it to you, no need to go stand in a queue...

Registered my details on the site and got this mail back, very easy to do it online...

Well, unless it has now changed in 2015... was pulled over in Cape Town in middle November with my expired license, the guy said I still had a week left to go and renew it (Mine expired end October)
